Opening: Saturday 15th November, 4 - 6pm.
This exhibition is a collection of recent drawings and paintings that
are the result of an exploration of eliciting abstraction through the use of
sound. This involved working simultaneously to a range of audio
sources, predominantly contemporary experimental music. This audio experience
allowed for an un-scripted result with limitless possibilities that
provided focus on composition, paint materiality and colour. With no concrete
link to reality, the use of sound permits exploration of a new, imagined
landscape that is determined as a consequence of each recurring action
and reaction throughout the painting process.
