20x20 visionS is an exhibition of digital artwork overlaid with acrylic paint and medium in a way that draws upon traditional forms of studio practice.
Each painting is 20cms x 20cms in size and the scale of the work references 20x20 vision, the standard by which perfect vision is measured.
In addition to this perfect standard of vision, the exhibition attempts to re-see, and is informed by, debates surrounding the place of vision and seeing in the visual arts (Jay 1988, Crary 1990, Veltman 1994, Manovich 1994).
20x20 visionS refracts the intersection of digital and traditional studio practice. |
